Of course, the week specials use Katano’s fresh vegetables and rice. Almost all staff members are women. They always try to make new menues which female customers favour.

Wines & Other Drinks

From evening, furthermore, the cafe opens as Bistro TAKA cafe. A Japanese restaurant in Kuzuha – Kagura produces Bistro TAKA cafe. The concept of Bistro TAKA cafe is a wine bar where female customers can spend valuable time. The bar serves various dishes from authentic meals to appetisers. The bar also stocks a variety of wines which match your favourite.

Mr. Yoshitaka Oku – Mr. Oku also grows vegetables in his farms for TAKA cafe.

Mr. Yoshitaka Oku who is the owner of TAKA cafe opened the cafe in 2014. He was born and worked in Katano for long time. Now, he makes efforts not only as the cafe owner but also the president of Katano International Friendly Association (KIFA).

The reason why he opened the cafe is that he thought to build a new business model based on the combination of various local elements. The cafe’s location is surrounded by a lot of houses and apartments. In other words, the JR Kawachi Iwafune area can be said to be one of residential areas in Katano. There is not a big terminal station where people come for various purposes in Katano. Of course, it is very difficult to set up such a big terminal in a small suburban city. But, Mr. Oku thought it was necessary for Katano to establish some hub spaces for community.

Mr. Oku gave a speech for the 35th annivaersary of Katano-Collingwood Sister City Interaction

After his retirement, his life work focuses not only on community vitalisation but also on social welfare for disabled people and international interaction. For instance, he financially supports building primary schools for children in Cambodia. It is srolahn TAKA cafe that plays a central roll to achieve his idea.
