After the merger of banks in 1942, the building was donated to Katano Cho, which was a former town\u00a0government of Katano City Council. The town government moved to Kisabe district in 1970, and the building decided to be used as the Katano City Education and Culture Hall and\u00a0the Kuraji library.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The library move\u00a0to the next building in 1998, and the Katano City Museum of History and Folklore opened\u00a0in the\u00a01st floor of the hall in 2004.<\/p>\n<p>The museum houses a number of artifacts from the ancient period to present.\u00a0Some of them\u00a0were found from the Katano&#8217;s remains. It is the best place to learn history of Japan.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The museum also made a DVD (title: <em>Katano no Rekishi<\/em>) and playing cards for introducing history of Katano.
