But, it is said that the Hatamono had been regarded as a prestigious shrine in the Muromachi period.<\/p>\n<p>The mainly enshrined\u00a0deity is Ame no Tanabatahime no Okami who is known as Orihime. Other enshrined deities are Takuhatachijihime, Kotoshironushi, and Yaekotoshironushi.<\/p>\n<p>In the Hatamono shrine, the Tanabata festival is held in July 6th and 7th. Many people enjoy\u00a0night stalls\u00a0of goldfish\u00a0scooping (kingyo sukui), yo-yo picking (yo-yo tsuri), chocolate-wrapped bananas, and caramel-wrapped apples.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-3587\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lovekatano.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/CIMG3422-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"CIMG3422\" width=\"565\" height=\"424\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lovekatano.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/CIMG3422-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.lovekatano.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/CIMG3422-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lovekatano.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/CIMG3422-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 565px) 100vw, 565px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>People write thier wishes in a strip of paper called &#8220;Tanzaku&#8221; in Japanese and hang it up on a bamboo.
